No Co2 Pipelines Town Hall

Edmonton, AB T5H 2M9

Wednesday, May 13th –  6 PM – 8:30 PM

Join the Edmonton Chapter of the Council of Canadians and No CO2 Pipelines Alberta to learn more about the upcoming taxpayer-funded CO2 pipeline in our province and how we can stop it!

This event will include an informative slide show about the pipeline and its risks, presentations from the National Farmers Union and a landowner along the route and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the issue.

Afterwards, participate in a cool screen-printing activity where you will be able to print No Co2 Pipeline patches.

Why Oppose the Co2 Pipeline

The Oil Sands Alliance is planning to construct a massive, multi-billion-dollar Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) project across northeast Alberta, paid for by taxpayers.

This project includes a CO2 pipeline run through regular Albertans’ backyards, with massive safety and economic risks along the route. These include a new and largely untested technology, and the danger of a leak or rupture which can harm people and animals within a 20 kilometre “hazard zone.”

Join No CO2 Pipelines Alberta on Wednesday, May 13, for an engaging Edmonton town hall to learn about the issue.
